What a strange shot...
I'm on the train from Imatra to Helsinki. Today, we went to see my dad's grave where his parents are as well, and I found my dad's aunt's grave, too. Then I got a lift to my dad's place, did some minor cleaning, got a phone call from a net friend who happened to be in Imatra, met up with him and had a cider at Vuoksenvahti, and then I met a solicitor about the inheritance - the apartment and debt.. With that sorted, I was more or less ready to move on to Helsinki.

The last full day in Imatra
I'll leave Imatra tomorrow, but I'm not going home until Saturday. There's still loads to do, both here and in Helsinki, and I'm hoping to come back within the next few months, to continue sorting dad's home etc.

In Helsinki...
...but not for long. I'm finally on the train to Imatra, and my arms must be longer, after dragging all my bags.. But Hannamari and the boys will be collecting me from Imatra station, which is nice!
Grey morning
It was a beautiful morning with clear sky, but now it's all gone grey and it's raining...
I'm at gate D65, heading to Helsinki, and then to Imatra, to organise my dad's funeral...

They're finally fixing the phone line, but that means no connection at all until they're done.. Jeez.. I wanted to update my SimmBook and FB status message before going to Tesco! Grrr...

At the airport
I was at the airport at 10am; my flight is at 1:30pm (and is now estimated to be 20min. late..). I've bought a camera and a 2gb card, some Finnish yummies (to add to those in my bag already..), and had a sambo and some water. Now I'm at gate 30a, just waiting.. I might read.. Or just observe people..
Going home today
I'm waiting for my parents to get ready.. They'll take me to the airport quite early, which will leave me with plenty of shopping time (unless I have to spend all my money on extra weight.. I may have gone over the 20kg). I hate this travelling part, I'd love to be beamed home!

Shopping
I went shopping today, with my mam. In the picture, something she bought for me; a set of mini stamp pens, similar to those you can buy from IKEA. I also got a new skirt, and stuff for everyone at home.
We had a snack at Stockmann 6th floor café; OMG the prices! Like €10 for a salad! And individually wrapped chocolates, €1.50 each! I think all Finns should just say feck it, and move to Estonia.. (With apologies to all Estonians, though..)

Friends
It was nice to meet up with old and new friends, earlier today. I think I had five pints of Strongbow, but my "summer alcoholism" training has worked... Heh..
I might go shopping tomorrow, or the day after that. Right now, I'm just digesting the gorgeous food I had, hours ago *boip*...
